ITC Malta remains one of the most commercially active meeting points in the secondary mobile industry, and this year gave Orient Telecom another direct view of how European and international buyers are thinking.
Our European sales manager Filip Mitrovic attended the event as Orient Telecom’s representative, covering four event days across official meetings, informal networking, and direct buyer conversations.
This article is a short market field report based on the conversations, meetings, and buyer signals collected during the event. We look at what B2B buyers of secondary mobile devices were asking for, why the European market feels slower but still active, and why targeted stock matching is becoming more important than general stock pushing.
A busy event still needs the right conversations
Numbers matter, but only when they lead to real business value. Across the event, Filip completed over 70 individual business meetings and more importantly, 3 deals were closed with 3 different clients during the event, showing that the right event can still create direct commercial results when the meetings are targeted.
For Orient Telecom, this confirmed that ITC Malta remains one of the stronger events for serious buyer conversations, relationship building, and market understanding in the secondary mobile industry.

Selective buyers are shaping European Apple device demand
The strongest signal from ITC Malta was not that demand is weak. It was that buyers are taking more time before they commit.
There was still strong interest in iPhones, iPads, AirPods, Apple Watches, CPO, AS IS, AS IS+, refurbished A+ and selected Brand NEW Apple stock. Europe continues to show strong potential for these categories, especially when the stock is matched correctly to the buyer’s channel and requirements.
At the same time, many buyers were reviewing offers more slowly, negotiating longer, checking specs more carefully, and thinking more about risk. This was especially visible with platform sellers, B2C channels, and buyers who need strict EU/UAE specs and CE compliance.
As Filip summarized after the event:
“Europe is still active and full of opportunity, but buyers are much more selective now. The value is not in sending every stock list to every account, but in matching the right stock to the right buyer.”
Why CPO and AS IS buyers need more targeted follow-up
The old habit of sending the same stock list to every account is becoming less effective. Buyers now expect suppliers to understand their business model, target grade, specs, payment terms and delivery needs before making an offer. This is especially important for Apple-direct stock such as CPO, AS IS and AS IS+, where condition, grading and risk must be clear from the start.
For Orient Telecom, this confirms the direction we already follow: stronger account segmentation, targeted stock matching and sharper follow-up instead of general stock pushing.

What comes next for Orient Telecom after ITC Malta
ITC Malta showed that the market is not quiet. It is more selective, more careful, and more focused on exact fit. Buyers are still preparing for back-to-school, peak season, and future iPhone demand. But they are no longer responding to general offers in the same way. They want better stock matching, cleaner communication, clearer specs, and stronger trust before making decisions.
For Orient Telecom, the next step is disciplined follow-up. The biggest value from ITC Malta will come from approaching each account based on its real needs, matching the right stock to the right buyer, and turning event conversations into stronger long-term partnerships.
