Orient Telecom Wins the Best Smartphone Trader Award at Circular Tech Awards 2026

Orient Telecom Blog4

On 5 September 2026, companies and industry leaders from across the European refurbished technology and secondary mobile sectors gathered at the JW Marriott Berlin for the Circular Tech Awards 2026.

The event brought together businesses working across device reuse, repair, refurbishment, trade-in and resale. Between 18 specialized categories, the ceremony recognized the companies and professionals helping to build a stronger and more commercially sustainable circular technology industry.

During the ceremony, Orient Telecom was announced as the winner of the Best Smartphone Trader category. For us, this recognition goes beyond one award title. It reflects the daily work behind the scenes: keeping stock available, confirming details quickly, improving quality control, and making Hong Kong sourcing easier for international buyers who rely on speed, trust and clear communication.

Awards are announced on stage, but they are earned through execution. Our expanded Hong Kong facility shows how this works in practice, bringing stock visibility, order preparation, quality checks and shipment coordination closer together so buyers can move with more confidence in the global secondary mobile market.

What the award represents in daily business

The question after any award is simple: what does this recognition actually  mean in day-to-day operations?

For Orient Telecom, the answer is found in the way the company manages stock, communicates with buyers, prepares orders and supports international sourcing from Hong Kong. The award title is the public moment, but the real story is the operating process behind it.

That process is important because the secondary mobile market is highly competitive. Buyers do not judge a supplier only by one offer or one price list. They judge the full experience: how fast stock is confirmed, how clearly grading is explained, how reliably orders are prepared and how consistently the supplier performs over time.

A Hong Kong showroom built for global buyers

Orient Telecom’s Hong Kong showroom holds more than 100,000 Apple devices across the categories professional buyers look for every day: Apple Used, Refurbished, CPO, AS IS, AS IS+ and Brand NEW.

The showroom works as a sourcing floor that connects live inventory, quality control, customer communication, order preparation and logistics in one place.

This setup allows the team to confirm stock faster, prepare batches more efficiently and support many international buyers at the same time. Buyers gain access to clearly categorized stock that can move into order preparation and shipment without unnecessary delays.

How visibility reduces buyer uncertainty

Many Orient Telecom customers operate outside Hong Kong and cannot visit the facility before placing an order. That distance can create uncertainty around availability, grading and product condition.

To reduce that uncertainty, many buyer discussions begin with a scheduled video call and a live walkthrough of the inventory. Buyers can view categories and batches, discuss grading expectations and confirm availability while the conversation is happening.

The goal is simple: reduce guesswork before the order is confirmed.

This is especially important for used and refurbished Apple stock, where buyers need accurate information about product condition, specifications and grading before making a decision.

What this Award Says About Trust in Smartphone Trading

The Best Smartphone Trader award matters because the category reflects one of the most competitive parts of the circular technology industry.

Hong Kong is one of the world’s largest hubs for used mobile devices. Its scale makes it an exceptionally competitive market. In a single trading building, hundreds of companies can be engaged in the same industry, often competing for the same buyers, the same stock categories and the same opportunities.

In that environment, maintaining stock is only the starting point. The greater challenge is building a recognizable name beyond Hong Kong and earning the confidence of buyers across different markets. Receiving the Smartphone Trader award gives Orient Telecom meaningful recognition in an industry where standing out requires years of consistent work.

Orient Telecom has operated in the secondary mobile industry for more than twenty years. Throughout that time, the company has continued to expand its international reach, enter new markets and develop a brand capable of succeeding well beyond Hong Kong.

Hong Kong provides liquidity, model availability and price opportunities. Orient Telecom turns those advantages into a reliable sourcing process for international buyers.

That is the difference between offering devices and building a trading operation that customers can trust.
